Our History

Our Organization

Henry IV Helping Hands of Hope, a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was founded in Virginia on August 21, 2023, by Pamala Brown. Our mission is to create safe havens across the U.S. where homeless Veterans and others can find essential care and resources. Inspired by the principles of Isaiah 58:7, we are dedicated to sharing food with the hungry and providing shelter to those in need.

What began with just two dedicated volunteers has blossomed into a community of approximately 56 passionate individuals. As we continue to grow, we are proud to offer a range of supportive services, including transitional housing, mental health coaching, financial literacy training, and guidance on Veteran benefits through our network of collaborative partners. Join us in our mission to bring hope and healing to those who need it most.

Foundational Scripture

Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless. Give clothes to those who need them, and do not hide from relatives who need your help. “Then your salvation will come like the dawn, and your wounds will quickly heal. Your godliness will lead you forward, and the glory of the LORD will protect you from behind. Isaiah 58:7-8

Henry IV Helping Hands of Hope Housing Program

The Henry IV Helping Hands of Hope Housing Program is a faith- and community-driven initiative designed to support Veterans and their families during times of transition. Our program typically lasts between 6 to 24 months, depending on individual needs and progress. We provide temporary housing along with a full range of support services aimed at tackling the root causes of homelessness and instability, empowering participants to achieve lasting independence.

Each resident is partnered with a dedicated case manager who helps create a personalized plan addressing their unique needs, goals, and challenges. Through our program, we offer a variety of resources to enhance career development, including job training, resume building, and educational programs. Life skills workshops are also available, covering topics such as financial literacy, health and wellness, and communication skills.

To support emotional well-being, we provide counseling and mental health services that encourage personal growth. Community building is also a key part of our program, with regular events and activities designed to foster a sense of belonging and mutual support among residents.

As participants work toward stability, we assist in finding permanent housing by offering guidance with housing applications, security deposits, and understanding lease agreements. Our goal is to equip Veterans and their families with the tools and resources needed to build a brighter, more stable future.

Our Vision

Facilitate safe havens throughout the US for
homeless Veterans and others where they receive needed
care and resources.
